My name is Angelo de Jesus, and my wife is Mary. We are part of the full-time staff at the Philippine Frontline Ministries (PFM).
The turning point in my life came in my heart in the year 1989, when I realized that I needed to have a personal relationship with God. I met Christ and committed my life to Him, and as I grew in my spiritual life Gog spoke to me and put a desire in my heart to serve Him as a full-time mission worker. That's why, in 1993, I decided to join Frontline. Since then, I really committed myself to serving God, and the Lord has put in my heart more passion for lost souls.
In 1995, God gave Mary to be my wife. She also has a deep passion for reaching people for Christ. We now have 3 children, Michael (11), Jezreel (8), and Jeremiah(6). It's really good to be workers in the vineyard of God with my family.
Our relationship with God and our passion for souls keeps on burning. In spite of many challenges in life, we are still holding on to our calling because God is the one who is holding us tight. This year will be our 13th year in the ministry of PFM. We thank God for all of his provision and protection through those years. |

I came to know the Lord at the age of 16, in January of 1999, during the time that the Philippine Frontline Ministries was conducting an evangelistic crusade outreach in my hometown. I attended the meeting and responded to the altar call. I accepted the Lord and gave my life to Jesus Christ. That night I felt that the Lord was calling me to serve Him. In 2000, after I had finished my schooling, I committed my life to serve God full time with the Philippine Frontline Ministries. I gave up my family, friends and ambition so that I could serve Him. He really touched my heart and changed me into a person with a passion to share His love, His word and my personal encounter with Him.

I experienced a wonderful childhood due to a very godly grandmother. I was given to her at the age of 6 months. She always told me, "Jeffrey, there is nothing you cannot do in Jesus!" Her deep love for people had a contagious effect on me... along with her very capable switch! When I was seven, I went to live with my Mom and step-dad and it was then that I witnessed my mother being physically abused. It was during those times that I would always reflect on the instructional words of my grandmother along with her sincere faith.

I was born in 1960 and raised in Aurora, Illinois (a large town just southwest of Chicago). I came to Christ in August of 1980, and only six weeks later left the United States to preach the Gospel in the Philippines where I have been actively engaged in evangelism ever since. My wife is Rowena, a Filipina, born and raised near the capital city of Manila. We married in 1986, and have four children (two boys and two girls), all born in the Philippines.

Max: I grew up with a family that is poor. I never had a toy, at a very young age I had to work so that I could help my family to have food on our table. It was hard. So when I was growing up I became attached to people who taught and influenced me to have vices, and I even joined a group of thieves and we went to a house and stole a lot of stuff, I only did it once because I had a conviction in my heart that I knew it wasn't right. One day when I was going home I heard my mother talking to someone about it and she said, "if I only knew that Max would cause me this much of a trouble, I should have killed him when he is still inside my womb."

They say “No Pain, No Gain”. I never used to understand that phrase. Probably because of all the pain I had in my heart. As a child, life was full of problems, it hurt inside. I grew up in a messed up family, my dad was an alcoholic. I had two other siblings. Whenever my dad drank he would beat my mom. So my mom decided to leave and go work abroad.
