My name is Noriel Camus. I am 29 years old, and was born and raised in Bicol (a region in the southern part of the Island Luzon).

I have been with the Philippine Frontline Ministries since September 1998. I have been in the ministry now for 10 years. Five years ago I married my wife Sarina who has been in the ministry for 13 years. God has blessed us with two children, Gabriel Anthony and Gerald Benedict. My family and I have been together in this mission work, traveling from place to place conducting evangelism, all over the Philippines.

I am a guitarist in the Frontline band and Sarina is one of the vocalists. Performing in the tent and open air outreaches is a common part of our work. We have been able to minister to many souls through music, and God has also been using me as an evangelistic preacher. I believe we have been able to reach many people with the Gospel.

Over the years, God has given me a vision that I would pastor in a place where people sincerely need help. He has brought us to a place called Balok -- a dumpsite. My vision was fulfilled here. I am now pastoring a community of people who are very poor and whose only source of income is attained by rummaging through, separating, and selling garbage. I believe that for this reason God has brought me to this place -- to reach these people for Christ, to help them raise their standard of living, and especially to make disciples. We are already training up youth leaders, and I also teach at the Balok elementary school, and several "life groups" throughout the dumpsite area. These people have been growing in the Lord and are now actively attending the church services.

We are excited to be where God has called us! We are also praying and believing God that we will soon be able to erect a new Worship Center (building) at this needy location where we can conduct weekly celbration services. Our prayer is that He will use us more effectively as instruments to start a transformation in the lives at the people at Balok. We thank the Lord for the opportunity and privilege to reach these people for His glory.
