Actually, we see all ministry to the lost as “rescue” ministry. Jeff Rice, who serves in such “rescue” outreaches, embodies the heart of a special love for people that is inspiring and contagious. He continues leading efforts of outreach to the city Jail, to kids that are still living out on the streets (like Daniel, pictured with Jeff) , and also a growing ministry to numerous employees working in shops throughout the area. With others at Frontline he also envisions a rescue ministry to the thousands of young women “trafficked” and trapped in a life of prostitution.

In the Philippines social classes of people are referred to with the letters A, B, C, and D; “A” class being the very wealthy, and “D” class being the very poor. Though Frontline has never made a conscious decision to target one class over another, a visitor recently commented that the motivations of Frontline are seen in that it constantly ministers in areas and to people that have nothing to offer. Our tent outreaches (for example) generally put us in touch with the C and D classes. Our ministry at the dumpsite is to people who are even part of the suggested “E” class (totally destitute). Our children’s ministry reaches kids who are abused, neglected, sick, uneducated, and often entirely disconnected from any semblance of a real family life. At the jail we are in touch with terribly hurting souls, ruined lives, and families devastated by the problem of parents who turned to drugs or criminal behavior; many driven to such lifestyles (we believe) by an environment of grinding poverty with little hope of a life of dignity... much less one of pursuing one’s dreams.Inmates at the City jail are packed in so tight they sometimes rotate sleeping times due to lack of bed or floor space.

For this reason, many of our Church members are poor, and come not only with empty pockets, but lives of need. Though we cannot immediately change the underprivileged circumstances of all these people, your financial support to Frontline continues to touch and change their lives in meaningful ways. There are many who have come to know God simply because He sent someone who cared enough to talk to them, to look, to listen, and to express love, if even by so much as a hand on their shoulder and a prayer offered on their behalf.
